My First French

No, not that kind of French, that was with a kid named Aaron about 20 years ago.  I mean a French manicure!

After my massive staining from a previous manicure, and using a lot of dark polishes lately, I felt like something a bit more fresh and natural looking.  I tried absolutely everything to get those stains off, lemon juice, tooth whitening tooth paste, whitening nail polish remover… nothing worked.  In the end I just took my nail buffer to my nails and got as much of it off as I could.

You can still see a bit of the staining through the polish but it’s not that bad.  I also totally forgot that I had French Manicure guides and did it freehand.  Not a bad job, if I do say so myself!
I still need to learn how to shape my nails properly.  They are still so weak from the damage that was left behind from the first place that did my acrylics and they break so much that it’s everything I can do to give them any shape at all, let alone a perfect one.

I like having a french manicure again, and having something that looks a little more natural.  I think my nails really need the break from the deeper colors as well.  I’m going to learn my lesson and make sure I always use a base coat.  That was what was my downfall with the teal manicure.
Used in this manicure:
Seche Clear Base Coat
Essence Tip painter for the tips.
Essence Pro White Rose for natural pink coat.
Seche Vite Top Coat

Good Job! Fantastic free hand.

I definitely always do a base coat for darker colors (if not two!)
